- James Gosling
On 16th March 2007, 12:00-1:00pm, James
Gosling, creator of the Java Programmig Language, will present
the next Open Lecture in the Annual CoE Lecture Series.
James, often referred to as the "Father of Java",
has been extremely influential in the development of object
orientation. One of his many interests has always been the
teaching and learning of programming. In March this year,
he will deliver an invited lecture at the University of Kent.
The presentation will include James' views on Java in education,
and will allow a generous amout of time for questions and
answers, so that the audience can interact with the speaker
and get his views on topical questions.
