Publications

My publications are available from the Computer Science department publications repository.

PhD Project Summary

My PhD is in the area "Swarm Intelligence for the prediction of protein functions." More specifically, I am investigating the application of Ant Colony Optimisation algorithms for the problem of hierarchical classification of protein functions.

I am working under the supervision of Dr. Alex Freitas and Dr. Colin Johnson.

Research Interests

I am a member of the following research groups:

I am also a member of the Centre for BioMedical Informatics.

Resources

Myra - an open-source Ant Colony Optimisation framework written in Java. The framework includes the implementation of Ant-Miner, cAnt-Miner and hAnt-Miner classification algorithms.
