Our Year in Industry programme can provide real commercial experience with leading companies in the UK including IBM, Microsoft and Intel or overseas with our placement partners in Vienna and Hong Kong. More than half our students take up this option. Valuable consultancy skills can be acquired by choosing to work in the unique Kent IT Clinic. Modules associated with the clinic allow you to gain academic credit whilst working on commercial consulting projects with local companies. Further professional qualifications can be gained while you study by becoming a Sun Certified Java Programmer and attaining professional BCS accreditation.
