Work experience gives you the edge

Employers are very keen to employ graduates who already have work experience. Our Year in Industry programme can provide real commercial experience with leading companies in the UK including IBM, Microsoft and Intel or overseas with our placement partners in Vienna and Hong Kong. More than half our students take up this option.

Valuable consultancy skills can be acquired by choosing to work in the unique Kent IT Clinic. Modules associated with the clinic allow you to gain academic credit whilst working on commercial consulting projects with local companies. Further professional qualifications can be gained while you study by becoming a Sun Certified Java Programmer and attaining professional BCS accreditation.

This is a clear indication that employers are impressed with the calibre of our undergraduate students.

Our high postgraduation employment rate speaks for itself. Leading companies like Ericsson Ltd, BAe Systems, JP Morgan Chase Bank and PWC Accountants are keen to employ our graduates as are most of the organisations who take our placements.
