Great university experience

Our two impressive campuses each combine a very safe and friendly environment with a great location, a wealth of cultural links and superb transport connections to provide the kind of place you would enjoy living in. Come and see for yourself at one of our open days or, if you have already applied through UCAS, on a scheduled UCAS visit day.

Canterbury Campus

Canterbury was rated as the safest University city in England in the 2011 Complete University Guide (Independent).

Established in 1965, the extensive Canterbury campus is set in 450 acres of parkland with lakes, woodland, gardens and courtyards. There are excellent amenities on site, including cinemas, theatres, bars, clubs, restaurants, sports centre and shops supporting a thriving cosmopolitan student community of over 120 nationalities. The campus provides rooms, flats and houses for over 4,900 students. All residences have computer links and many are en suite. Student societies and clubs abound and there are further opportunities if you are interested in sport, art or music.

The campus is set on a hill overlooking the Medieval city of Canterbury bursting with history and cultural heritage. Degree congregations are held in the world famous Canterbury cathedral. Transport links to London airports and cross channel routes are excellent.

Medway Campus

Sited at Pembroke adjacent to Chatham's Historic Dockyard in Medway, the recently developed campus lies in the historic capital of maritime Kent with an exciting mix of historic Grade II listed buildings and purpose built modern architecture.

New high-quality student accommodation is available on campus as well as an on-campus sports centre, retail outlets, bars and cafes. It has excellent road and rail links to London, London airports and cross channel routes.

Jake Young (Computer Science with a Year in Industry) says:

" There are a lot of things to get involved in here. Kent has a strong sense of community and a good mix of students. And it’s very easy to get to know people, particularly with all the activities on offer. As soon as I arrived at Kent, I knew I was going to enjoy it! "
