School of Computing Auction

Rules

[ Enter the Auction | Help | Rules | Payment & Collection | Mailing List | Statistics ]

If you participate in the School of Computing Used Equipment Auction then you must abide by the following rules. Please read them, as they are not the usual yada, yada.

  • Don't bid on more than 10 (ten) lots at any one time; give other people a chance. If, during an auction, we find that you currently have the winning bid on more than ten lots then we reserve the right to remove you from the auction.
  • Only bid on a lot if you intend to buy it. If you win that lot then we will expect you to pay for it.
  • Please turn up when the time comes to pay for and collect the goods. We don't have the time to deal with people on a piecemeal basis, although we'll obviously make allowances for people who can't make it for a good reason. If you really can't make it, then make sure you let us know (cs-syshelp@kent.ac.uk).
  • Before you bid on a lot, read the description and make sure it is what you think it is. Don't bid in haste and then repent at leisure.

If you break any of the above rules, or otherwise interfere with the smooth running of the auction, then we reserve the right to remove you from the current auction and maybe even ban you from all further auctions.
