MyPDF: Generating PDF Documents under Unix
If you wish to use the MyPDF system under Unix (on raptor or swallow for example) then you can do so by submitting any PostScript document to the queue cspdf using the command
lp -d cspdf filename.psHowever, two things to note:
- The queue accepts only PostScript. So, for example, to submit
a text file you will first need to convert it into PostScript.
a2ps will do this for you and submit the print job at the same time:a2ps -Pcspdf myfile.txt
- You don't actually need to use the MyPDF print queue at all, as
you can convert PostScript to PDF directly using the ps2pdf
command. Type
man ps2pdf
for details.
