Introduction
This document describes how to download and install the CS SSL certificate on your Windows system.
Non-Windows users
Instructions vary a lot for non-windows platforms. You will, however, need the certificate which can be downloaded here :-
http://www.cs.kent.ac.uk/systems/ukc-compsci-ssl.crt
Downloading the CS SSL certificate
Open your web browser (we use Internet Explorer) and navigate to the following page :-
http://www.cs.kent.ac.uk/systems/
- Click on "CS SSL Certificate".
- A dialog will pop up asking you if you want to open or save the file.
- Select open.
- A window should now open with details of the certificate.
- Press Install Certificate.
- Click next at the first screen.
- Unless you want to do something special with the certificate the default should be fine.
- Click OK.
- Click Finish to install the certificate.
- A dialog should appear telling you the import was sucessful.
- You will return to the certificate details. Press OK to close.
The certificate is now installed on your system. You should now be able to access any of the secure CS services without any problems.
