Programming streams for Standard Masters courses
Two streams are available for most of our standard Masters courses to accommodate students with different backgrounds:
- Introductory stream - CO881 (plus CO882 for some courses)
Aimed at beginners. Assumes no prior knowledge of computer programming.
Also suitable for students with limited knowledge and experience of programming. - Advanced stream - CO871
Aimed at students who already have a good working knowledge of at least one programming language (any language).

Notes
- Only the advanced stream is available for certain Advanced Masters courses that relate directly to advanced programming.
- Only the introductory stream is available for the MSc in Biomedical Imaging.
- Streams are handled differently for International Masters and Pre-Masters courses.
