Syllabus
- Managing operations in the manufacturing and service sector; the
operations manager's task and role.
- Operations strategy, levels of strategy; linking the different levels of
strategies through markets.
- Designing and developing services, products and delivery systems to
achieve strategic objectives.
- Managing and controlling the operations system: MRP, JIT, TQM,
Six-Sigma, inventory, and supply chain.
- Improving operations: measuring productivity and performance, tools and
techniques for improvement.
