PhD Project Suggestion: EEG Analysis Methods
Howard Bowman
Although it
has been around for considerably longer, in many respects, the methods for
analysing EEG data lag behind those for fMRI. Accordingly, my research groups at
the University of Kent (Computing) and at the University of Birmingham
(Psychology) are working on developing and applying new EEG methods. Potential
PhD research lines coming from this would be, 1) methods to control false
positive rates, 2) use of dynamic time warping in latency and connectivity
analysis, and 3) Monte Carlo resampling techniques applied to EEG.
