My primary role in the Division of Computing, Engineering and Mathematical Sciences is to support and operate The Shed, one of two Makerspace workshops in the division, for staff and students alike.
This includes maintaining the tools, machines and materials in the space for student and staff activities; exploring new technologies so that we can provide up-to-date advice and suggestions for projects; and aiding in research (primarily focusing on the Internet of Things and Machine Learning such as Artificial Neural Networks and Genetic Algorithms).
