This was taken near the Grand Canyon.
During the middle weekend of the upper layer architecture workshop,
Bryan, Richard Winsborrow and I drove up to the Grand Canyon.
The picture shows us having a break while walking the border track.
In the middle of the Coolangatta ODP meeting, a group of six of us
walked 25km along the border track in Lamington National Park on
the south border of Queensland. This track is through sub-tropical
rainforest and runs along the cliffs forming the edge of the ancient
caldera centred on Mt Warning in northern
New South Wales. We walked from Binna Burra to O'Reilly's.
In the photo with Bryan are Andrew Herbert and Martin
French.
We took a boat out on the Harry S, Truman Reservoir in Missouri. This was while
we were in Kansas City for a standards meeting. Bryan, Sandy and I
took a trip during the middle weekend to see some of the country.
During an ODP meeting
in Camberra, Bryan, Sandy and I climbed Mt Kosciuszko, which is the highest
peak in mainland Australia. However, we started from the top of the
Thredbo cable car which is only a few hundred metres below the
summit; it just involved walking a few kilometres along a metalled path
across the plateau.
This was taken on the coast near Byron Bay in Australia. Kerry Raymond drove
us down into New South Wales after the first EDOC meeting, which was held in the
Gold Coast.
This was taken during one of the last OSI national committee meetings.
It was in a committee room at BSI Gunnersbury.
The picture captures some informal discussions before a session of the
WODPEC workshop started.
This workshop was part of the EDOC conference in the University of Twente in
the Netherlands.
The EDOC social event this year was at a Dutch steam museum;
Bryan was invited to try out a hand-driven plate-layer's trolley.
Bryan and Antonio Vallecillo on the waterfront during an evening
tour of the city as part of the EDOC conference in Hong Kong.
Bryan is seen drafting text during the ODP meeting in Kyoto.
After the Kyoto meeting had finished, a group of us
visited one of the temples. The leaves showed brilliant late autumn colours.
