Conclusions
The ODP family of standards provides a framework which simplifies federation by:
- allowing policies and constraints to be expressed in an enterprise specification;
- providing naming structures that support multiple contexts - federation;
- coordinating communication with type repositories - evolution and tool integration;
- providing a simple yet flexible binding architecture - dynamic resource allocation.
