The JISC’s Technical Advisory Unit monitors performance from six test sites, controlled from UKC.
The main emphasis is on availability of site access
However, regular measurements are taken of round-trip delays, to give an indication of congestion.
Modified tools allow high resolution pings with high repetition rates.
