Lots to do this month!:
  1. The second round of peer-review. Check whose work you are reviewing this month from the allocation of review pairs on the password-protected portion of the webpage. There's a second set of instructions and templates. (And, for those who are interested, a separate document on their background). Make sure you do your review before you come to the Commons in April, as we shall be dedicating time for individual discussion and feedback.
  2. As you do your reviewing, and think about your own work, remember to look out for things to include in "Ten Good Ideas from the Disciplinary Commons", the paper we propose to send to the HEA ICS conference. The deadline is 14th April, so I'll set aside time at the next meeting to put the outline together. (Remember, we already have our first idea in Dylan Pickle)
  3. An idea from the sixth meeting was that we should all include a photo-montage of our campus as part of our portfolios: a "Sense of Place" section. We agreed that we would do this, and that we didn't want promotional "chocolate box" pictures, neither would it be very useful for us to take them. So we'll get the photos by giving a Computing student a camera and getting them to document their day. (More or less. Might take a bit of editing, of course :-)
  4. Finally, we'll be talking about delivery, about "being in the classroom" - so remember to bring any documents generated from your peer observations
