Mr T W BARBER received his education at Hamstead Hill College
Birmingham. Served his time between 1884 and 1888 at Messrs A
ATWOOD and Boy's Works, Ulverston, was draughtsman there from
'88 to '90 and from '90 to '92 ws manager of the Hastings
Engineering Works belonging to Mr T W BARBER, Snr.
Conducted a series of scientific experiments for Lord Crawford
(under Professor J GAMGEE) dealing with condensation of steam,
refrigeration and ventilation druing '93-'95 and since then
in conjunction with Mr T W BARBER snr has been connected with
the Hastings Harbour Works; Queensferry and other bridges
and sundry lesser undertakings.

Mr BARBER designed and erected a pair of Isothermal Air Compressors of
1600 hp at Murton Colliery. 					1898

Experimented upon and subsequently designed and erected a plant for
the manufacture of Artificial Stone for brown dale stone. 	1899

Designed and manufactured a new automatic fire extinguisher now before
the Fire Officers Committee of Great Britain. 			1900

Experimented upon and designed a new form of condenser and boiler
and now engaged in construction of a new type of steam motor vehicle
embodying this and other important discoveries.

Inventor and Patenter of various machine tools; a rock mill; equilibrium
valves; Air compressor details; a low temperature liquid engine; 
steam laundry machinery; wool wahsing and disinfecting machinery; 
pnewmatic harness; colour stereoscope; folding bicycle; artificial
stone processes and plant; an electric conduit system; automatic
sprinkler and automatic fire door; motor vehicle mechinism; steam
boiler and condenser.
