Elections |
|
I mentioned in a thread some time ago that we should have a leadership election.
The arrivial of my baby is now scarily close, so I think the time has come to open the voting.
I have never done this before, but I believe that you vote via the society terminal, and that whoever has the most votes at the end of a week becomes leader.
I will still be around, and will keep my appartmnet, and will sell within the society as before, but I don't expect to have much free time (and definitely no money).
If anyone is interested in taking hte job please feel free to post your party political message here
If you definitely don't wantt o be elected you will have to find the option on the society terminal that removes you from the election.
Good luck all, let me know if you have any questions.

good news (the baby) and i think we all wish u three the best
about voting:
If i remember correct the votes are counted every 12 or 24 hours.
if u are 24 members one member needs 13 votes.

It is great thing that you will have your baby soon. But still... U have been the best leader that I have encountered...
I ain't any kind of politican, but I'm willing to become a new soc leader...
so here's the "message":
There will not be major changes in rules or policy... We will be n00b friendly soc now and after also we'll keep the Corporate hieracy.
Inside society trading will be improved to support miners/crafters and other folks. Society funds will be created for future uses of Society.
Friday Society Hunt will continue like earlier.
Also I'm open for any ideas that u come up...

Congratulation again for your little loving kicking alien in your tummy (at least we know she can take the succesion of her mother in a football team)
I kwew who i would vote for even before comming to this forum.
But whoever come up in these election will have my support as long as he or she keep in mind what was my former mentor's spirit.
My presence ingame is light but regular, not sufisient to take a political participation in the soc.
I hereby remove my flag from the election and declare myself inelegible.
I also want to recall that everyone especialy newcomer are wellcome to add me as a friend through soc terminal. to see my online status and ask for advice/ help. My knowledge is okay and available to anyone.
Long live the EUtropians!

The voting machines are for MA votes. I'm not sure they've ever been used yet though.
I think I saw a post by Marco somewhere saying they wanted to use them to get the opinion of the players on new ideas for the game, and things like that.

Since Red is gone for while, we need new leader @least until she comes back
so here's a question...
What date should we arrange election?
the votes are counted every 24 hours so time won't matter just date...

Don't people just vote for whoever they want as leader whenever they want? Just click the pointing finger to endorse that person.
Then (from what I gather) every 24 hours a count is down and if a different person has the most votes they then become CEO.
So we don't need to set a date, we all just need to go vote

There's so many inactive players and only minorty of players vote...
So, should we kick the oldest inactive of players off from soc?
Or is it even nessesary If Red is coming back soon?
