Welcome Alex.
It is generally a good start to gather sweat for your first purchase.
If you get a weapon you will need to buy ammo and/or repair it.
Only a lucky few make enough money from hunting to fully fund this - most of us end up sweating again (or depositing real money).
Gathering sweat also gives you good skills that are useful for other things later on in the game.
Do you have a mentor? That is normally the best person to ask for gifts and loans.
Otherwise we will see what we can do to help you.
