What our students say

Bedour Al Shaigy
(MSc Computer Science) from Saudi Arabia says:

" The University of Kent is rated one of the top universities, well renowned for its research and excellent facilities. But most importantly, the students are the main concern, providing guidance and support throughout and after the academic year, equipping the students with the proper tools and skills to face the professional world.

The support from the university started even before I moved into campus with emails and pamphlets describing life in university and what to expect. And once I got here, I was overwhelmed by the help I was offered, the students were extremely friendly, showing me around campus and inviting me to join social events and societies. The university itself held a Welcome Week addressing all the student's major concerns and introducing the support centres it provided like the Student Advisory Centre. Workshops were organised throughout the year to tackle some issues like how to write a dissertation. All of this contributed to a smooth transition.

Also, the natural scenery is a bonus, I mean, where else would you go to class accompanied by rabbits and squirrels? "
