Labs
There are two hour labs with demonstrator support. For the first phase of the course, there are unassessed exercises on the following:
- Produce a Word document about yourself including a picture and a spreadsheet representing the student's timetable.
- Produce a spreadsheet which calculates their award from a set of grades.
- Produce a simple web site, including a form, an image map and some multimedia.
- Modify a Microsoft Access database.
Database Labs are strongly focussed on the coursework which is carried out using Oracle 10g. It starts with a familiarisation session and then proceeds through the various parts of the exercise.
