The Course's Place in the Programme
Information Systems and Databases is a core component of the MScIT and the MRes Bioinformatics. It is taught in twelve week period from week 2 to week 13 of the Academic Year, roughly from the last week of September to the third week of December.
It has no pre-requisites.
For the MScIT students, it is expecting to lay the foundations for a number of electives, notably a course on Internet Technology and another on Multimedia Systems. For both classes, it provides skills and materials which can be re-used in the Masters Project.
