AMP Changes

So, with this new VU they've changed the way amplifiers work. This means the common combination (which I use!) of Opalo+A103 is no longer viable.

Just wondering what people are doing instead now?

I guess the choices are hunt with Opalo unamped or with a low amp (maybe just A101?), or buy a bigger gun...

Well if you have allready tested this great VU. You'll see the message when adding amp A103 in opalo "This Amp cannot work profidently in this kind of weapon" or something like that... So If u are emotionally attached your opalo it's time to DOWNGRADE. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that A102 works still like it used to in opalo.

But I can see why MA has made this move. Many Ubers or skilled players use still opalo. This gonna kick some tempo in weapon Trades. Rolling Eyes

Well, I've given the Justifier MK2 a go, and it's a nice gun. My skills are a bit too low though, so I'm not using it to it's full potential. The extra ammo cost isn't as bad as it sounds because I don't need to use an amp like I did with the Opalo, so that makes the repair costs much less.

So I'm now looking at a Punisher MK2. It uses less ammo so missed shots won't be as painful, and can still use an A103 if I need it.

The other option I looked at was an A&P Series Brave. Oh, and the Breer L weapons... but I don't want the hassle of an L.

I still carry one Opalo though! The other is in storage along with my A104.

I got one of those A&P series Brave... U want I sell it to u...

Thanks Shadow, but I've got myself a Punisher Mk.II and it's working very nicely. I also have a rather over priced Justifier which I don't need just yet - I may keep it, but if prices keep rocketing I think I'll sell it on Smile

So, just to conclude this thread. Although the Punisher was OK, I still missed a few too many shots. I ended up getting a Breer M2a - even though it's a Limited weapon, it's still good, and I have good stats on it. I use an A102 with it.

I keep my Opalo and Justifer+A104 as secondary weapons though Smile
