State Visit to the Computing Laboratory
13 March 2001

The Computer Science Department recently welcomed eight members of the Information Technologies and Computer Science team from the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC) to the Laboratory.

The aim of the visit was to allow members of the department to discuss both current and potential research projects with individuals from EPSRC. It was a highly valuable networking opportunity which enabled us to communicate the breadths of our research to the EPSRC. Vince Osgood, the Programme Manager for IT&CS, presented a seminar entitled "Challenges and Opportunities in IT&CS" which was attended by many members of the Laboratory, as well as staff from both Electronics and Mathematics.
