Computing student and Bestway Foundation scholar Muhammad Rehman, MSc Cybersecurity, and fellow scholar Huma Razzaq, MSc Advanced Communications Engineering, attended the Bestway Foundation Scholars Reception on Tuesday 23 July to meet fellow Pakistan students and share their experiences of study in the UK.

Hosted by Sir Anwar Pervez, Bestway Foundation UK founder, and his son Zameer Choudrey CBE, BA (Hons), the Reception was attended by other high-profile business people from Pakistan and gave the scholars the chance to mingle and make useful contacts. The students were also given the opportunity to talk about their studies at their respective universities and offered words of wisdom and inspiration for the future. This was followed by a traditional Pakistani lunch.

Speaking about the opportunities afforded him by the Bestway Scholarship and his studies at Kent, Muhammad said: “The Bestway Scholarship has opened so many new doors for me that I couldn't even imagine. I had the chance to study MSc Cybersecurity at Kent which is provisionally certified by GCHQ. It is a dream come true for me that I'm able to study my favourite subject in one of the best universities of the world in that particular field. Apart from my education, it has exposed me to a new part of the world. Students from all over the world come here to study together, and it is a beautiful experience to have students from different cultural backgrounds showing love and respect for each other. No appreciation can be enough for the positive changes it has brought into my life.”
