Open Days for prospective students

Staff and students at the School of Computing are looking forward to welcoming visitors to a series of Open Days on Saturday 8 and 22 October in Canterbury and Saturday 15 October in Medway.

At the Open Day on 22 October the School will be open from 9.00-15.00 and you can talk to staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students to find out more about studying computer science at the University of Kent.

Timings:

  • 09.30-13.30 – Demonstrations in Cornwallis SW101. Talk to current and former students and staff about their work.
  • 09.30-15.30 – Our makerspace, The Shed, is open to explore.
  • 13.25-13.55 – Sample lecture by Lecturer Ian Utting in the Gulbenkian Cinema. Have a taste of being a Computer Science Student.
  • 13.55- 14.55 – ‘Everything you want to know about studying Computer Science’. A question and answer session in the Gulbenkian Cinema

Admissions officers will be available throughout the day to offer advice and answer queries. Other members of staff and students will also be available to answer any questions about studying and living at the University of Kent.
