TLAD
The Teaching, Learning and Assessment conference (TLAD) has had a major influence on this unit.
TLAD is a 1-day worksop of the British National Conference in Databases (BNCOD). It started in 2003 and is held in July each year at a different University in the UK. It is supported by the Information and Computer Sciences (ICS) group of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
Essentially, the purpose of TLAD is to enable the sharing of peer-reviewed teaching, learning and assessment practice and experience.
Attendance and presenting papers at the workshop, and membership of the Programme Committee, has consequently had a major influence on the content, instructional design, delivery and assessment of this unit.
