General Observations
In general, this has been a particularly problematic group of students to teach.
Two characteristics dominate: a much higher spread of ability than usual (the class having simultaneously one the strongest and one of the weakest students the programme has ever seen); and a reluctance by all but the strongest to ask questions. While this is common enough in undergraduate programmes, Masters students more typically ask when they don't know.
