The University
The University of Worcester received university status in 2005, it was previously University College Worcester and before that Worcester College of Higher Education. Worcester is a small city south of Birmingham and north of Bristol close to the M5 motorway and River Severn. At present the university has one campus to the west of the River Severn with a second under construction in the centre of Worcester (City Campus) on the site of the old Worcester Royal Infirmary and opposite the Pitchcroft racecourse. There are six institutes at the university, including the Worcester Business School.
