Interface design is a multidisciplinary subject that embraces an understanding of human behaviour as well as the principles of computer systems design. It is widely recognised that the commercial success of software development is largely dependent upon building interfaces that take into account human characteristics as well as technological considerations. This module focuses on interface design theory as well as offering practical experience in developing interfaces using evidence from personal research as well as that of experts in the field of human computer interaction.
