Supporting Students

1. Staff use a wide variety of learning and teaching methods e.g. lectures, practical workshops, seminar group work, library and text-based research.
2. All students attend an induction programme giving general and subject specific support.
3. A Student Handbook is available to all students.
4. All students are assigned a personal tutor who offers pastoral support
5. Library and information skills packages are available during induction and as part of some modules.
6. Study skills are provided within the course and separately by the Equal Opportunities Centre.
7. Library, IT, Media & Print support is provided by Information Learning Services (ILS).
8. Dedicated PC rooms and subject-specific IT support is also available for Computing students.
9. Module outlines, assignments and course material is available via the University's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), Blackboard.
