Background
Up to 30 students per academic year are enrolled on the module. It takes place in one semester and each occurrence is a 15 week block of which 11 weeks are 'taught' sessions (12 from September 2008). The 'Human Computer Interaction' module was re-validated in June 2006 and re-designated 'Interface Design'. It has a pre-requisite at Level 4 of 'Introduction to Web Development' and is itself the pre-requisite for the Level 6 module 'Qualitative Interface Evaluation'.
I am the module leader for all three of these modules. It therefore gives me an overarching perspective of student progression through all three levels
