There is a determined need for corporations to access and share knowledge and vital information from any location. Knowledge Technologies should be based on vendor-neutral, device-agnostic, and cross-platform delivery of information and data and when developing such technologies we must consider market trends such as: expanding number of devices (PDAs & SHDs), expanding volume of content and shrinking environment lifecycles. Dynamic Transcoding Proxies (DTP) are key to achieve such goal. This presentation discusses the need, development and deployment of such proxies using Cocoon and other Java/XML-based technologies.
