Students and the academic culture have changed significantly since most
of us were students.
- How do we engage students in the learning process?
- Were we really as motivated as we now remember?
- How can we change the environment in order to get more effective
results from our students?
- What are the special problems for teaching technical subjects, such as
I.T. and applied mathematics?
In this seminar, we will explore these questions and look at the student
as a developing individual. Methods for stimulating more effective
learning will be proposed. In the discussion period, the presenter will be
interested to hear ideas on these issues that come from the British
approach to higher education.
