Back to list of 2002/03 seminars Abstract for Seminar
Over the years since "The Art and Science of C" was published, we have invested a considerable amount of effort in Stanford's introductory computer science course. In that time, we've improved both the pedagogy and our teaching tools. With these changes, the course has become one of the most popular offerings at Stanford, trading off from year to year with introductory economics for the highest enrollments in the university. In this talk, I offer an overview of these strategies, focusing on those that encourage students to achieve their full potential.
