Back to list of 2002/03 seminars Abstract for Seminar
We describe a well-established architecture for visualisation which forms the basis for IRIS Explorer, a visualisation toolkit. Recent work to extend the architecture and the toolkit to support (a) computational steering [live visualisation of simulation output], (b) collaborative visualisation [multi-user, shared displays of data] and (c) collaborative steering [(a) + {b)] is presented. We describe ways in which this work is currently being extended to a Grid-based environment, and conclude with details of how the products of this work is being made available to the e-Science community in the UK.
